Travelling to Legends

Legends at the Monument is located just outside Stirling – and is signposted from the City Centre and from the A91.

Stirling is easily accessible by rail, with frequent and regular services from Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Frequent bus services to the Monument operate from Goosecroft Road (opposite Stirling Railway Station). Services 52 and UL (operated by First) stop outside the Monument.


Facilities

Legends at the Monument provides a welcoming coffee house, gift shop, and toilet facilities. Parking is free.

Admission tickets can be purchased from The National Wallace Monument here or inside the Monument itself. Call 01786 472140 for more information.


Accessibility

Legends at the Monument, which is situated at the Car Park level, is fully accessible, and toilet facilities are available in this building. Access to the Abbey Craig and to The Monument itself for visitors with restricted mobility is limited. Visitors can walk to The Monument (approx 15 minutes) through the wooded path of the Abbey Craig or use the complimentary minibus shuttle.


Opening Times

Legends is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New years Day. Adverse winter weather can affect opening hours. Please note that our kitchen closes 30 minutes before the coffee house itself closes.

Who we are

Legends at the Monument is managed by Stirling District Tourism Ltd, an independent local charity promoting heritage, history and educational activities in the greater Stirling area.

We provide a welcoming experience for visitors and local residents at our coffee house and gift shop. We use all funds raised to support our educational and heritage activities.
