The Monument, Wallace & Us

In 1861 the legend of William Wallace drew thousands of men, women and children from all across Scotland to The Abbey Craig to witness the laying of the foundation stone for a monument which would salute the country’s greatest patriot and martyr.

Legends at The Monument has become the ideal hub for events, talks or just a place to wind down with a coffee after a visit to The Monument. Visit us today to discover why the people of Stirling and visitors from around the world sum us up simply as ‘Legends’.

Legends at the Monument is managed by Stirling District Tourism Ltd, an independent local charity promoting heritage, history and educational activities in the greater Stirling area.

We provide a welcoming experience for visitors and local residents at our coffee house and gift shop. We use all funds raised to support our educational and heritage activities.
